Abstract
Solar energy integration in the Konkan region (Maharashtra) provides a reliable, cost-effective solution to stabilize marine fisheries and reduce high post-harvest losses. [1, 2] Key Benefits of Solar-Powered Cold Storage in Konkan • Cost Reduction: Offsets heavy electricity bills and cuts reliance on expensive diesel generators during power outages. [1] • Uninterrupted Cooling: Prevents voltage fluctuations and sudden compressor stops that damage temperature-sensitive seafood. [1] • Blue Economy Alignment: Reduces carbon footprints while boosting the economic returns of local fishing communities. [1]
